Friendship Force International (FFI) New Zealand visit Hue City

On October, 09, HueFO  welcomed 17 members of  Malborough Club visiting Hue City from October 09 to 11, 2019

At the meeting, Mr. Le Van Anh, a member of the presidium board, Former President of HueFO expressed his pleasure to welcome the group and hoped that this trips will leave each members with great impression about Vietnamese culture and people. And as a friendship ambassador, they will convey a Vietnam’s image of diverse culture and friendly and hospitable people to the world.

During this trip, HueFO assisted the group in visiting historical – cultural relics, landscapes, and  especially arranged for the group to stay at local people house to experience the life style of Vietnamese in general and Hue people in particular.

On the last night in Hue city, FFI’s members and host families that the group had chance to stay with had an emotional farewell party. It began with musical performances from all the participations. Then the simple and funny questions from host families about Hue culture created cozy and relax atmosphere. The gap between people and people from two countries didn’t seems to exist by the way they expressed. They talked, recalled all the wonderful memories they had with each other in the last two days, danced and laughed together. All those things expressed sincere sentiments of new friends and made the night so memorable.

Malborough Club, New Zealand is a member of Friendship Force International – FFI, a close partner of Vietnam – United State Friendship Association. Since 2007, HueFO has been honored to welcome 14 FFI groups from the United States, Canada, Australia, Belgium and New Zealand with a total of 195 members. Through this program, international friends had the opportunity to explore Vietnamese culture, customs and daily life, thereby contributing to enhance mutual understanding, promote friendship between the Vietnamese people and the people around the world.
