Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations of Thua Thien Hue province (HueFO) , founded in Hue city, is an important international exchange center of Vietnam. It is the land always converges and spreads the quintessence of national culture and connects Vietnam with many countries around the world. HueFO is an organization specializing in the field of people-to-people diplomacy with the mission of conserving, connecting, promoting and expanding foreign relations between Thua Thien Hue and other countries’ people.

With the goal of implementing the open foreign policy of the Vietnamese government for peace, cooperation and development, HueFO plays the role of a bridge to promote exchange and cooperation activities in many sectors such as economics, culture, science, technology, education and training. Concurrently, HueFO is an information channel to call for and mobilize non-governmental aids and humanitarian aids for disadvantaged areas in the province.

After more than 25 years of establishment (since August 1998), Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations of Thua Thien Hue province (HueFO)has developed with 11 member organizations, including friendship organizations with residents from Laos, Thailand, China, Russia, France, England, the US, Japan, Australia, Germany, and overseas Vietnamese. HueFO always commits to contribute to the sustainable development, peace, prosperity of Thua Thien Hue and international community.
