From March 6 to 9, the 2019 mission of Dental Mission for Children (DMC), U.S. Phu Loc district, Southern Thua Thien Hue, was accomplished with great success.<\/span><\/p>\n

Consisting of 20 dental doctors and medical volunteers from the U.S. and Vietnam, the medical team provided free and diligent dental care and treatment to every primary student in communes of Loc An, Loc Hoa, Vinh Giang, and Loc Vinh, Phu Loc district.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Screening children for dental flaws<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

A total number of about 1.200 children were screened for dental flaws, and about 345 of them were given dental care and extraction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"U.S. doctors and Vietnamese volunteers work together for dental care and extraction<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

DMC also provided dental education for hundreds of parents in the communes. Besides, in each locality, ten children with disability or victims of agent orange in each locality were given valuable gifts.<\/span><\/p>\n

DMC is a U.S. non-profit and non-governmental organization that has served in Vietnam since 1999. In its missions in the province over the years, DMC has received effective facilitation and assistance from its local partner \u00a0– Thua Thien Hue Union of Friendship Organization (HueFO) and volunteer engagement of local medical students and doctors.<\/span><\/p>\n
